We Are Enrolled Agents
What is the difference in an EA and a CPA?
It is to be noted that both Enrolled Agents (EA) and Certified Public Accountants (CPA), are licensed professionals who can effectively handle the tax issues of an individual or a business. The primary difference between the two lies in the fact that the license of an EA is authorized by the federal government, while the CPA license is issued by the state.
This means a CPA has restricted authority to the state level whereas an EA has unlimited practice rights with federal jurisdiction (to work in any state).
Do you have old tax-issues you would like to bring closure to?
Maybe it's not as bad as you think. Perhaps you can prove there is a doubt as to your liability of the tax the IRS says you owe, or maybe there is some doubt as to the collectability of the tax based on your current financial position.
Did you know that the IRS generally only has 10 years from the date of assessment to collect on the tax? Are you still hearing from them even after the expiration of the statute? Give us a call and let us get them off your back.
Regardless of the circumstances, we can help clarify exactly what you owe, if anything, and address the big-picture all at once on your behalf.
Message us today and let us help!
Consultations are free so you have nothing to lose.
